    Locking Wheel Nuts

    Anyone had any problems with the standard locking wheel nuts on Astra Mk 4 SXI as i havn't got the wheel nut key and is there anywhere on car i can get a number for the key to have a new one made up anyone with anyhelp please Pm me many thanks

    They are crap anyway, get them gunned off at your local tyre place and get some new ones.

    you can only get a new key if you have the code that came with the kit when they were new

    yes i know you can only get a new key if you have the code that came with the kit when they were new but i don't have the kit so was just wandering if there is a code on the car anywhere else maybe, dunno why there would be though, still any HELP much appreciated cheers Trevor just got to see what else i can do before i get them taken off from my mate at a tyre place

    probly not of any help, but we had a similar prob with our mk3, whereby one of the lock nuts had to be broken off as it had seized, we had the kit inc sheets of paper for it, etc. but where it said key number it was blank, so we had to buy a full new lock nut set,

    bought a new 1 and told new 1 would have code written on sheet of paper, surprise surprise this 1 was blank too. dnt think vaux give you the codes with the kits,

    Yes the locking wheel nuts are on my car and have no way of getting them off, probably going to have to break them off but don't know how(could do at a garage but not paying £53 i been quoted to break them off) anyone with help much appreciated as got a NEW set of locking wheel nuts on their way just need the ones ON my car out whats the best way doing it yourself to get locking wheel nuts off
