    Question Spoilers

Right, I need to know what kind of spoiler to go for on my Cav.

I'm thinking of the Animal bodykit, but I don't like the spoiler they have fitted
    www.animalkits.co.uk

Anyone got any suggestions, or would anyone recommend a different kit?
It's supposed to be a challenge, that's why they call it a shortcut. If it was easy it'd just be "the way".

YUK! How to ruin a car. Sorry, I ain't gonna lie to you, I think that's utterly vile. Stick with what you have and make it a minter.

well, at least you're honest! I have to admit, I think the bonnet vent should have stayed away, but maybe that's just me!

Ok, to widen the subject a little, what spoiler would complement the standard GSi kit?

This is cut into the existing lip spoiler. Looks nice. High level brake light too.

Dunno mate. I have noticed its gettin increasingly harder to find nice lookin spoilers and kits to compliment the car rather than take over.. You know what i mean? . .

Hmm, not bad that. I was thinking maybe the Vectra GSi saloon spoiler? Or maybe something else.

    Need more suggestions!!!

Tell me about it! I've done a few subtle bits, like a meshed grille, laguna splitter, tinted clusters and chrome 16v badges. Not sure whether a full kit would be a good idea, as my Cav looks quite mean from the front at the moment, just needs lowering! Thinking about a set of crystal clear Angel eyes too, but I don't want to be paying £200 for a set!

What looks like a Sierra Saphire rear spoiler. Looks good on a turbo, not sure on a GSi...angles of rear lights compliment the lines of it.

Vectra Saloon spoiler. Again, this is cut into the existing spoiler to reduce the height in which it sits.

Hmmm. I like both of them. Suppose I could always upgrade my rear lights if needs be.

There is a very rare spoiler that some of the GSi cavs had from the factory that sits on top of the lip spoiler. I think it's made by irmscher. I will try and find a pic for you. You don't wan't to put on anything that will spoil the natural lines as a GSi cav looks nicer standard.

Looks fairly similar to this one but came on some GSi cavs from the factory. Looks good when it's sitting on the GSi lip spoiler.

Think I know the one you mean. Don't want to be paying £200 + for a spoiler tho!

Is this the one you mean? http://www.prosport.uk.com/acatalog/...ombat_Kit.html

Leave the kit standard and lower it with bigger wheels, job done looks loads better that way IMHO.

Simon P, i was meaning the one on the white car in the thread below. The one on the blue car above is slightly higher i think but it may just be the angle of the photo.

Long way to travel for a cav

Arrrrr right, that one. Yeah, that's the early version. Pretty sure both are Irmscher items. Do look good both of them. Sorry for the confusion.

It's already got bigger wheels, and is being lowered later this week if it'll stop raining!
But I think it needs a spoiler, nothing lairy like the one in the first link, just to set it off.

No probs, i thought there was one that sits slightly lower on top of the lip spoiler than the one on the blue cav above.

In my opinion mate stick with the original spoiler that comes on SRi's GSi's. They do the job and look subtle and give the car a good shape.

trust me cars now a days have very subtle spoilers on the tips of the boot lid i.e. the BMW's Audi's etc.

Unfortunately they didnt make many good after market spoilers to suit the shape of the car and its a shame too.

But as always everyone has different tastes thats my opinon

i agree with gsi24v, there is a cav gsi round my way with the vectra saloon spoiler, nice touch to the back end of the car, i dont know wheather or not it would fit but what about the calibra turbo spoiler on it, or would that ruin it

Do you mean the spoiler that covers the whole of the boot? If so, I don't think it'd suit the Cav. Think I'll probably go for the Vectra one.
