What next? Having a break from it! LOL

Narr, have another mirror housing to do and a rear panel.......rear panel I am not looking forward to. originally, I wasn't going to do this, so when cleaning, covered it in silicone...so it's gonna take a lot to shift it. Not like it's a smooth surface either. So not only will silicone be right in there, bit it will take a lot of flatting back!

Good one. As a rule of thumb, I hate mesh. Silver mesh is grim usually, especially in the format that you see on chaved up bumpers rammed full of the stuff, it's tacky and generally very poor quality.

In small amounts as you have here, black honey combe mesh looks good. It's in the right place too. Ace.

    Will panel wipe disolve silicone?

Decent colour match. Fairly happy with the result.

Conclusion...grille is a horrid thing to spray, so many angles and so many tight areas..plus being metallic, it makes it that bit harder.

panel wipe should rid of any silicone on your boot panel.

Thanks for the comments Pete. Gives me more confidence to do more of it.

Going to invest in some panel wipes and barcote. Might try and get hold of a compressor some day.

Wouldn't mind doing that actually. Wouldn't want to do accident repair, just resto jobs. Be quite satisfying.

I need waaayyyyyyyy more practice though.
