    Smile Wheel refurb, again

Not Vaux related, but I thought you'd like to see pics of my first attempt at wheel-refurbing, on one of my my MG Turbo's 15" cross-spokes. I didn't think of taking any "before" pics ( ) but the condition was very similar to angryman's wheels.

The hardest bit was prepping: too many intricate nooks and crannies
I did it the lazy man's way and just masked off the front of the tyre during spraying. I didn't bother masking the back of the tyre: anyone found grovelling around under the car and tutting will be given a pot of black tyre paint lmao

    Front (outside)
    Back (inside)

That's one wheel done, four more to go, and then all four wheel-centres ...

    Yep good work there John

Got mine on today (see my thread) and will probably do the ones I had on the same way as you as they only need a small bit of work
Well worth doing, so long as it's not your daily driver or only set of wheels and you have to rush them

Thanks for the comments Yeah I'm fortunate that the MG is my play-thing and the Sintra is my daily-driver, so basically I can take as long as I need. Which is just as well, really, seeing how long it takes to do just one wheel!

    Looks good John!

Made a huge difference to the overall look of my old Cavalier.

For those interested, the paint used was Tetrosyl 'Color Match' Silverleaf metalic and Tetrosyl Clear Lacquer, though prior to both I added a thin coat of Tetrosyl High Build Primer to areas where I'd rubbed through to bare metal during prepping (had to to get the old flaky stuff off). The lacquer still needs flatting and polishing, but on photos I doubt you'll see much difference.
