wheel offset nova
Ive got 17s on now with an et45 but im havin some new wheels would I be able to fit 17s with an et42??? All of my arches have been flaired quite alot ive got about20mm gap between the rear wheel arch and the tyre and about 14mm gap at the front!Do you think this will be ok they dnt rub or catch anywhere at the moment!thanks

et 42 means your wheels will sit 3mm closer to arch than before, so yes they will fit if you say you have 20mm gap on rear at mo and 14 on front. just make sure you buy 205/40/17 tyres as these are the smallest ou can get.

thanks will this make it handle any worse??im putting a valver in at the moment so I dnt want to end up with it catching or making anythin worse
-
Got et43 on my nova 15" rims.
found no difference in the handling.
Dunno if thats good or bad lmao
-
cheers think I will get them then its a pain in the arse to find new wheels that aint to over the top in the right offset

hello mate, the only differrence you might find is that you will feel tramlining effect at speed on motorway, oh big whoop. also the wheel bearings probably won't last as long but not much sooner as not big difference.
good luck with it all, just remember if doing valver conversion get coilovers.
-
well it is only 3mm difference so should be ok!!I hope.so you reakon go for it?Ive got uprated springs but will get coilovers eventually.wot would you say the best coilovers are to use and what spring rating?
-
best coilovers are avo, as coilover rears aswell. up the poundage of fronts by 2 nothces say 30 pounds to cope with extra engine weight.
wheels will be fine, aslong as you fit coilovers after fitting engine, i wouldn't run with just uprated springs and shocks with a valver lump, extra weight.

ive got gmax suspension n courtney 2.0 springs at min will get the coilovers wen get spare cash you reakon will be ok for bit
-
should be but would be better with coilovers
