i know what your saying guys... but its costing me horse power. the design of the system is too restrictive on flow.

It does need some tinted rear lights though, very sexy though...

As it is looks custom, like the photoshop above is just a standard aftermarket exhaust.

How much power is it costing you? and why?

add, it was only 225 at courtnay's rollers, only 212 at dartford tuning after i took all the inards out of the back box

    so options are....
get back box replaced as ginge has done for me and fit a sports cat. get it r/r'd at courtnay see if its any better. if it performs keep as is.

change the rear box and flog the system then get a miltec item (cant get a stealth system funds wont allow) and a sports cat (should see 240/270ft lbs)

if it wont perform then its gona have to go.

i like the way it looks now..but it will be changed if it dont play ball.

the exhaust gasses dont like the way it flows...duno why...it just dont. torque is great up to 4k then it just nose dives the standard system probly flows better than this one

Can't you get a Powerflow system made up using your exhaust tips/or similar ones, made in the same style as they are now...
...maybe with a larger bore pipe work.

i think the bore of the pipe is already nigh on 70mm stuff mazz, i think its the boxes tbh, when i had surgery on the back box the internal pipe size was puney!

Hmm sort of a step in the right direction i guess.....

off to powerflow (bromley) earlier today for a new back box, guy at bromley was off so a trek to croydon was on the cards. after a lenghty wait, finaly got the car on the ramp where i had a long descusion with the zorts guy and a plan was made. now while power always has a price, today was no different in 2x ways.

    1. it has cost me to date, £540 for the original design, another £50 to rip the innerds out of the back box and another £176 today to replace afore mentioned modified back box = £766

    2. i have a fake driverside tailpipe now

but it does sound and go fantastic now, back box is bigger than the old one and less restrictive (basicly has a honeycombe tube inside it....thats all) so sounds and goes real well. next month it will be time for a sports cat, powerflow do one @ £180 +vat, courtnay do one at £349 (duno if there is vat on that price) miltec also do one at around £500 had a compare with the powerflow cat with the o/e item fitted to the zaf...and its much bigger in size

anyway here are some shhots of the underside now.

Looks good, although I would be soooo much happier if I knew that the drivers side pipe had a purpose and function.

tbh though, after this much money i'd want the car to be running 300bhp through it...not 220odd if it dont get nigh on 240bhp with the sports cat...then its gona be sold and i will end up loosing more money as i will still have to buy a replacement. good job i kept the standard item as the map i'm running should even with a standard sytem give me 240bhp....it will just look and sound pants

ok here we go again! what tail pipe do you think will now suite the zaf? oval, letterbox, big bore single (4"), center exit 'may' be an option as well! but there will only be 1x tailpipe oh! and dtm 'aint' an option either. i dont plan on a dual rage 4" tail either. but open to sugestions.
