Single wiper conversion (homemade)

Before you all start I have done this on a mates GSI although I must admit I do quite like it...

BUT after doing it the easiest way (moving the drivers wiper) the sweep is still quite small and Ive read loads of old threads about making a 'T' piece smaller - which bit is this?

Does it make much difference?

aint gotta clue but does the wiper sit sideways across the screen and blocks the passengers view? 'cause thats bloody annoying for the passenger!!!!!

and because it only sweeps a small amount of the window, its not so good in heavy rain and snow but i spose as long as you can see its ok!
