    Wide Arches on Nova??

I am thinking of getting some wide arches for my Nova, has anyone had experience with these and what are they like to fit? will i get away with spacers on the wheels or will i need to widen the track by getting bigger axle and driveshafts etc..?

    cheers

    use corsa back beam

and corsa driveshafts, lower arms, steering rack and use your existing knuckle.

should widen the track for you.

if going for wide arches i wouldn't bother getting the fibre glass kits as they will only crack over time, i am currently having mine fabricated from metal, yes expensive but will last forever. as for widening the track of the vehicle it depends really on what size wheels you are having, 15"s yes definately, 17"s no or even 19"s definately not. i have decided on the later option as i want to do something not many people have done but is all down to cost allowances

I've fitted the wide arch kit to my Nova. I got it from Magnum Motorsport. The panels seemed to line up with the body quite well for fibreglass stuff. The tops of the wings were a bit rough, but nothing a bit of filling didn't sort out. The finish of the bumpers was quite rough aswell, I'd say they must've broken the rear bumper mould at some stage and patched it up. It took me 3 or 4 months of work to get the kit modified, fitted, primed and ready for spraying.
As for bringing the wheels out, widening the track is the best way to go. You could use spacers, but chances are, you'll end up going through wheel bearings every month or two. Spacers will also have a negative effect on handling. The Corsa rear beam won't work because the mounting points are an inch too far apart to fit the Nova. Not sure about the front end parts, but I've a feeling that's been discussed on the boards before and it turned out you couldn't use them either. I'm using the TAS wide track setup on mine. It's an expensive way of doing it, but handling is improved, the arches are filled out nicely and if you ever fit a 2.0 engine, you can use standard Astra/Cav/Calibra driveshafts and CV's so less chance of anything snapping
