Need quick reply on gsi spoiler!!

Just started to fit my gsi spoiler, removed the original black spoiler etc.
But the gsi backplate has two long white lug things on it that stop the plate sitting on the studs on the boot.
The lugs hold the spoiler to the backplate.
What do i do, cut them off?
Will the two torx screws and some bonding stuff be enough to secure the spoiler.
    Need help quick

if the bonding stuff your using is tiger seal (or similar seam sealer from auto paint suppliers) then yes.

Do not use 'gripfil' or silicon!

    Sorted?

Its on now, i just pulled the white lugs out, sawed off the spoiler ones, then bolted the backplate down, bonded the edges, and then put the spoiler on and bonded that.
Secured with the few screws, its nice and tight now.
    Looks decent.

it's surprising how strong sealant is! It took me ages and a hell of a lot of effort to get my one off (sold it!) lol. know one will ever be able to rip it off so don't worry!

Just don't expect to be able to remove it in a rush or easily!

I have just been out now, it is solid on, can't even move the spoiler at all. Its only been on a few hours.
    It seems pretty strong stuff.
