    help for a novice...

    im trying to take the driver door card off my mk3 astra. ive undone all the bolts and the doors loose, but i thinnk the manual window lever is holding it on still. i dont want to give it a tug cos i dont want to break anything. anyhelp much appreciated.

    behind the winder leaver thingy is a 'U' shaped clip you need to remove, slide a flat bladed screwdriver behind the winder and you should see/feel it. dont just wrench it out tho as it will ping off and dissappear.

    Yep, as said there is a retaining clip on the spindle of the winder. If you have a hook-shaped tool that'd be ideal, if not, fiddle with a screw driver, though it does have a tendancy to go flying off into oblivion.

    carefull tho,
    if u slip u can stick the screwdriver in to ur thumb...... (not that i did)
    u can also buy a tool from draper that does the job,it slides in and pop it right off
