    Blue Digi Dash

    Has any1 ever put blue l.e.d's in there digi dash? i have an astra mk2 gte and would like it 2 illuminate blue, any1 know were 2 buy them as well?

    Leds are nowhere near bright enough

    Search for a user called DOM who sells films that change the colour's

    You need at least 12 high brightness LEDs and you need to mount them in a purpose made mount inside the dash - its not as easy as just plugging them in.

    I did have a play with some VERY expensive LEDs and they worked but they cost around £8 each (you need two) and you also need a constant current driving circuit and heatsinking for them (they will get hot enough to boil water and then die if you're not careful).

    Easier option is to pay £15 for a set of films off me - have a look at www.picbits.com

    Do anybody do Knight Rider KITT Dashes for any kind of car. Make and Fit them

    I'm designing and making them at the moment but they wont be for sale until next year.

    Half of me wants to go LCD on these new dashes but the other half of me wants to go retro and use LEDs

    I might make a variety of modules available to people to they can build their own dash

    Does everyone else get picbits okay?? I can view the pics, but cant get the fitting instructions, maybe its just my connection or something, any one fancy emailing them to me??

    Try right click and save on the fitting instructions.

    They are done in Adobe Acrobat so you need to download the free viewer from www.acrobat.com if you havent already got it on your PC

    The pics on my website are LCD but the one in the thread is LED

    More to come - I've finished the speedo part - working on the mileometer this week
