The best tyre shine?!

Does anyone know from experience whats the best stuff to use, either bought or home made, Im a sucker for clean wheels and shiny tyres.

Ive found the spray stuff always seems to fly off after a quick pelt down the motorway or rains, I tried tyre paint but im not sure if i degreased the walls enough as it peeled off as soon as I drove it. Ive been using Autoglym bumpercare which does a decent enougb job. I wish it were simpler

meguiars (sp) long lasting shine, purple oily gel, smells like sherbert, lasts for ages, but give it chance to stick otherwise it gets on yer roof an everywhere when you go for a spin lmao lmao

it comes in a flip top bottle, wise to spend 50p on apaint brush while youre in the shop, after bout 3 applications the tyre has absorbed the stuff and it looks mint after just washing the tyre, the water beads and runs off even after a week, by far the best stuff ive used

Is tyre lube the same as these tyre blacking stuff?

I want my tryes black in kept in good condision, but dont like the shiny look. I want matt rubber black, any ideas?

Turtle wax tyre shine gets my vote every time...just give it time to dry before driving, as the car will get a fine spray of carp down each side.

when you put that on my astra they looked new............for a few days!!!!

I always spray Wet 'N' Black onto an old sponge and apply it to the tyres using the sponge.

Several reasons the main reasons being that you end up with even coverage and don't get 'overspray' on the wheels and body work.

Also I have found that by applying it this way I get better results and a longer lasting shine, however, I alway leave it to fully dry before driving.
