Neons - Legal Q?'s

Hi

I know you're allowed to have neons switched on on the road providing theyre white, but does it have to be red at the back or can I have white (or red maybe) all around (front, sides and back)??

chatting to a traffic cop about my led kit a few weeks ago and he told me "as long as you cant see the bulbs you can have whatever you like under your car". after this i hid all mine away so u cant see any bulbs or tubes and havent been stopped since. he was prob chatting smelly stuff but worth askin

Dogsy, Your right well he is right, as long as you can't see the tubes it's fine.

ok, so if I had blue tubes, but the tubes were not visable, only the glow, thats legal???

so i was told by a traffic cop, was amazed he took the time to talk to me instead of just throwing the ticket at me (9 producers in 1 night for doing nothing more than driving to my friends house and back must be a record)

as far as i've been told from the cops,
u can only have white on the front,amber on the sides and red on the rear,

cause even with the tubes hidden,ur still showing the light,that what u cant do,
only cop cars and aumbo can show blue light.

well i think there may be some confusion here.

some people have said if you cant see the tubes you are fine. well yes, as long as they are not switched on, on the road! turning the tubes on while driving would be illegal, but its not actually illegal to have them fitted, as they may be used for "off road use" only.

but, its all down to the officer who stops you at the end of the day, the same as with anything

Why not just not bother with neons. They are a ruddy joke anyway.
