16s lowered 40mm

i'm getting a set of 16inch wheels for my nova mk2 and i was just wondering iff it was possible to lower the car 40mm aswell

the wheels are the correct off set for a nova

if the wheels r the right offset (49mm) then u should b about 2 go as low as 80mm depending on the tyres u have

i'm just worried about havin to attack the arches with a grinder
the tyres on the wheels are low profile thats all i no about them

at the moment I've got 17's on my Mk1 nova and thats been lowered 80mm and it doesn't rub, I did have to mod the arches a tiny bit though

i've heard that iff u heat up the arches a bit you can pull them out can you really do this

to be honest I bodged it a bit, lol, I just folded up the lip until it was completly flat then got a sisscor jack and pushed them out really slowly. worked a treat looks good aswell.

as long as they look good mate, i did think about rollin the arches on my nova just to give the wheels more room

this bloke round the corner from me has got a nova its modded to the max and its lowered 80mm on the rear and 60mm on the front with 17s that are the wrong off set and all he did was roll the arches

ive got 7x16's on mine with et49 and i need spacers on the back which pushes the wheel out, so i had to cut half the arch lip off

If no spacers it would easily fit but mine rubs on the suspension with none

i've got 195/45 16"
on a 49mm off set
and they dont touch anywhere,
