Removing side repeaters from Mk3 Astra Sport?

OK these are my next job to lose, Im sure they are double sided sticky.

Anyone done this job, tips?

Same car, not colour tho, as car in this thread.

Forget it, I have done it, easy.

Used pliers to grab the plastic so I could get a decent pull without having to lever against the paint from behind.

Pull off steady, then clean with water and soap, then white spirit and hard work to take all the crap off.

Perfect job in 30 mins, and looks like it was never on, lol.

are you just replacing with clear ones yeh? Cuz you know that smoothing over them will fail your mot

I think I have confused ppl here, side repeaters, duh, Im silly, of course they are the f-ing indicators.

I mean the side mouldings that run right down the car.

ive just bought some clear 1's aswel and i cant get my old 1's off either, i dont like the sound of pliers, cuz i dont wanna damage them!

They will prise out if you take care, try and use a plastic tool rather than a husehold knife, far less likely to damage the paint.

lol!! yeh the rubbing strips once removed make the car look a whole lot better, Ive smoothed out the swage line that runs down the car too - proper smooth!!!

Anyone ever smoothed the front and rear bumpers on a mk3 Astra to get rid of that stupid groove on the bottom half, which doesn't match up with anything on the rest of the body unless you've got a GSi? I thought of doing it on my Astra, but never got round to it. I think it would enhance the look no-end

o rite, the lense bit is click on then? cuz on most other cars they twist and pull out, but mine wont twist. i cant find ne info on how to remove them! not even in owners manual, which is silly, cuz how does the bulb get changed lol

So.....prize the lense of, then does it twist out???
