Why not just use an aerosol?
Mike
well, ya, have thought of that but you have to be extra carefull etc with that to get a great finish - brush painting goes on thicker and will fill pits etc.....
use hamerite smooth (not the hammered effect stuff), goes on thick and then settles to a brushstroke free finish, quite good for calipers and drums too.
oooh now there's a thought....would I need to paint with the wheels of fthe car? i.e. to make it settle smooth with no running's..???????

would be your best bet, doesn't take too long to dry, do it one side (of the car) at a time.
you used to be able to get a good brush painting product from Halfords called Jelonite Re-Paint. Its an enamel (I think) which dries like Hamerite smooth but is easier to brush and comes in a wider choice of colours.
