i painted the front calipers on my nova silver a few days ago. it looks cool, but i don't know whether to paint the drums as well?
anyone care to voice their opinion? or have any pics?
cheers![]()

Well slap my trumpet shifter!
Paint the drums in mat black, silver will attract too much attention to them, therefore making your car look less rampant![]()
i say silver
still look nice when painted up nice.... and then they look at drums and think "pah its only got drums at the back" then you waste em![]()
yeah i'm not bothered about the lack of disks at the back. they're completely pointless on a nova. just not sure if they'd be too um.... silver!
Well slap my trumpet shifter!
Hmmmm.... the only time I think bright drums look good is when they're something retro like a 50's hot rod with "state of the arc" huge finned alloy drums all polished up. For a Nova or other modern car I'd matt black them to avoid falling into that "chav-look" trap.
yeah that's the trouble with driving a nova! don't want it to look chav-esque in any way. that was my main concern. might go for matt black then.
Well slap my trumpet shifter!
A nice sutle silver would look ok, and not be too in your face.
P.s you gonna be at trax?

the hammerite i've got isn't exactly subtle lol. looks ace on the fronts but might be a bit too silver for the back.

johnny - get em chromed
mmmmmmmmm chrome
drums look crap if they
a) arent brand new
b) arent shotblasted before painting.
its cheap enough to buy a new pair of drums and give them a dusting of dark silver hammerite, this is the best option imo
BRB
when the gagged ones are reinstated
i did this to my astra when had a 1.4
cost me £8 per drum - cheaper than your time wire brushing them down!!!!
easier to paint too
£8! from autovaux is it?
cheers for the gen dudes![]()
Well slap my trumpet shifter!
