    Top Coat Peeling/Cracking

In some small areas on the bodywork the lacquer/top coat is starting to peel and crack . It's not really bad at the mo but I want to put a stop to it before it gets that way....

Has anyone else dealt with this problem sucessfully?

    Cheers for any advice.

    Re: Top Coat Peeling/Cracking

Have just done the top of my SRi drivers door with the same prob(about an inch of damage) Picked off the edges of the damaged laquer, rubbed it down locally to smooth the edges. I then masked of locally around the area and sprayed with Halfords colour match to build up the level, letting it dry in between coats. Rubbed down with 1200 grit and soapy water then re laquered.

Finish is good (not bodyshop finish, but you'll never get this) .... only if you stick your face right up to it would you know it's been done

Need to do the spoiler at some time as this has bits going

Would have thought so, but with a bit more care with the spraying (more frequent lighter coats), as metallic has a laquer as well
If yours is metallic, try doing a bit (if there is one) that is more out direct sight on the car first!

    As for the wheels
