Dashboards? Opinions, Help?

I wanna change the dashboard in my Mk2 Astra GTE, its 2 boxy and old fashioned. i did have a MK3 Astra and the dashboard was better looking in that, but i have heard that the Daewoo Nexia is the same design as a MK2 Astra but the dash is more curvy. Any ideas? Has anyone ever done anything similar?

make bang in the mk3 dash it looks mint when in a mk2. although a would have a look at tom stricklands site and build your own.

Nexia dash is basically the same as the MK2, buttons around the dials are oval shaped, air vents have curves, that it really.

Personally i think the mrk4 astra has the nicest dash, although i hear its a bitch to put in the mrk 2.

I don't rate the Mk4 dash much it's too bland and flat. A good dash needs to flow from one side of the car to the other

The Mk3 dash is a good idea, Im thinking of doing it too. I did look at the nexia dash but I believe it was only made in that horrid grey colour

I've heard that the Nexia dash was done it black? I really wanna find someone who's done it to get some advice and tips, especially cos the heater is supposed to be a right b***h to do!!!

theres a nexia in my local scrappers. its a sallon Belmont one. Its got a black dash, but other than the curved vents and the shape of the buttons around the dials, its identical to the MK2, as Ive said. Just isnt worth it.

If I ever do anything with mine, I Expect It'll just be to cover it in black alacantra or something, not that offended by it, and a digi dash looks cack in a MK3 Astra dash.

What about a Cavalier one? thats a nice dash IMHO.

The cavalier one's a bit too big isn't it?? Didn't someone on here put a MK3 dash into a Mk2?

mate yeah they did. a mk3 dash will go straight in its a dead easy helped someone do it. make sure when you do it to rig up the heater matrix as well and it will all look factory fit mate. really it aint hard at all. tom s site is dead easy to find just search astra on yahoo.

Any one got any step by step's for it? Mainly for the heater as i'm quite good with wires and other stuff, just not confident on the heater and the actual gettin dash bolted in. Pics would be great!!!!

Smooth out the top of the dash on the passenger side, doesnt even have to be a tidy job, coz you then cover it in black alacantra. Its what I think I'll do one day.
