Yup![]()
my early bonnet wasnt compatible with my facelift car - 1 set of bolt holes where in a different position - u will have to drill 1 hole on each side of the bonnet hinge section to mate with the other hinge on the car
conflicting views there chaps
ne more?
put it this way - my pre v grille bonnet didnt mate with a v grille car
As he says. A new hole needs to be drilled onto the hinge, certanily no big job.
You asked if it would fit, and I answered![]()
if u smooth them in!
oh and if they r cut in
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
or easier still go to ur local scrappy and get some phase 1 hinges
When I got a GSi bonnet for my phase 1 astra, the holes didn't match up.................... which reminds me, I still need to fix that!!

Have you looked at the bonnet yet?
Cause phase 2 gsi bonnets are just like the standard bonnets.... ie no vents!
Only phase 1 gsi bonnets have vents!![]()
Signum Elite 3.2v6 now replacing the old Omega MV6 Estate 3.0v6
i bought a beand new bonnet originally with vents for a 94 model and it went straight on - then i bought a 91 bonnet to vent - it was when i went to fit i found the hole problem - easily solved by drilling a new how and rust proofing it - easy job
ive got a pahse 2 sport
and needs aa new bonnet, so im gettin phase 1 Gsi bonnet
I've got a 92 GSi bonnet fitted to my 95 sport without any hole problems....
so...
guessing from what ppl have said ^^ it most have had phase 2 hinges put on at some point b4 i aquired it....although the bloke said it came from a 92 GSi.
