    c25xe cover

I want to respray the plastic engine cover but unsure as to whether the cover will require any specialist heat resistant paint... any ideas, thinking hi gloss black or gunmetal metallic.

next question can i get this in chrome? and how would people pick out the vaux badge and v6 on the red plastic part of the cover?

I would say there is no need for special high temp paint. I used normal body paint on my XE cam cover and that is metal so would get hotter than a plastic cover.

I had mine resprayed in a body shop for free! Just had mine done silver, but with a very slight light blue flip in it.

All that was done, was a light rub down with wet n dry, a degrease and the spray. Just normal paint. It gets warm there, but no more than an average bonnet does on a hot summers day.
