does anybody know how to take the wing mirrors off a cavalier (mk4 -the latest one -is that right?) electric, they are grey plastic and i fancied colour coding them spectral blue with the rest of the car...

i colour coded mine.
you dont need to take off the mirror. the outer casing slides off. you have to pull it/slide it off. (used a screw driver to start it off)

well, no real luck, any force applied pops the whole wingmirror off, i cant seem to slide the outer casing off
There are clips holding it to the internal case.
Take the whole mirror/casing unit off |(not the baseplate unless it all comes out together I cant remember)
then you have to slide the screwdriver from the car side outwards inside the case onto the clips and pull hard. Is a bit tricky... but you can do it![]()
