anyone fitted white dials with blue leds ?

my bro has fitted white dials and now some blue LEDs , problem is becos the back of the white dials has an orage color backing the light isnt shing thru very bright, not bright enuff to be legal esp on the top middle of the speedo.

just wondring if anyone else has managed to do it ok or has any ideas ?

I also tried it, I even put 3 leds into 1 holder and it was still cr@p.

In the end I had some indiglo dials made up that I now sell

mmm oh well so theres no way off doing it then not even if u cud perhaps scratch the orange backing off to let the light sign thru better ?

indiglo dials look nice but how much £70 wernt it ? ?

Yep £70 inc the delivery etc.

You need the white dials to not show orange light.

Orange stops blue light (Somthing to do with the light spectrum) that also why red bleeds through white but not the other way round

They look brighter in the second pic than they are.

There is a dimmer on the dials plus it dims on the original dimmer too so if you want you can have them almost off

Yes, they glow 5 colours from what I can remember...

Very green
Greeny blue
Indiglo
Bluey green
Very ICE Blue


There is a moving .gif of Lee's with them all changing colour uploaded to lathwood - but I think its still offline
