scratches on windscreen

on the inside of my windscreen there are very fine scratches all over it, as if it has been cleaned with a dirty cloth or something. these marks aren't noticeable at night but when your driving towards the sun they show up real bad and is a bloody distraction!! anyone got any ideas of how to get them out?? i have tried proper 'auto glym' glass polish but with no success.

erm i dont know if you have any jewellers supplier s round your way but.....if you ask for jewellers rouge its a wax soap bar . that gets most of the scratches out.
