    Question Buey/White crisp headlight bulbs....?

I love the lights that the clio sport 2.0 16v have...are they gas or actual bulbs making this stunning glare? I want to get a set of headlight bulbs for my morette twin headlights but just ain't got a clue if the bulbs these days are much cop? I mean i have bought two sets in the last few years and they never came out bluey crisp white clear white light but instead ****ey pot yellow

Any ideas what bulbs fit these morette twin headlights and what flaming bulbs can i get to give this glare?

    Cheers Adam

A good place to start is with the Philips or Osram Silverstars - much whiter light - I've got to swap them over from the missus fiesta back to my cavalier seeing how she's driving it at night now.

Worth the £20 they were retailling for when I got them (for a bit less than that )

Also check the voltage across the bulb with the engine running etc. It may be a voltage drop that makes them a bit more yellow than they should be.

    cheers for link scott

    so these are 5 Star

    Osram Silver Star
5 Star award - Best Buy Award - Beam: 96.9m

"The flagship bulb in Osram's range, the Silverstar's 75m figure was only a fraction better than that of arch-rival Philips (right), but it performed significantly better at 50m. Add a price advantage, and the Osram's plus 50 per cent competitor is our Best Buy."

    Buy Online: H1, H4 and H7

But will they fit my morette twin healdights

    cheers adam

Yup - I've got the H4's - didnt pay that sort of money for them though I had a trade account with an osram distributor and got them a bit cheaper.

I've seen them a bit cheaper than that at a motor factors in Northampton too - I think they were around £18

All depends on what bulbs you've got in your headlamps at the moment though mate - H4, H1 and H7 are all different physical sizes

You wont see much blue in the light - its much whiter though and gives a better beam focus.

Worth the money with winter drawing in IMHO

    Adam:
    • Open bonnet
    • remove bulb from one of twin headlamps
    • look at metal of bulb for the letter H and a number
    • repeat for other twin headlamp
    • Write down numbers before you go upstairs to your flat and forget what they are
    • go and buy bulbs, take your lunchbox in case you get caught short on the way...

I'm not sure what type of bulbs she has. They are just the ones that came with the lights from Ecosse.

    The only bulbs you need:

I paid £30 a set, ask ANYONE that has seen my headlights and night and they always ask me what bulbs I have.

Also a 'tad' over the legal limit so they are loads brighter aswell.

Ive tried over 4 different types and these are the only ones you need.
