    150bhp nova, versus 350bhp escos

Doesnt sound like the nova would be winning to me, what actually happened?

If it was pulling from a 350bhp escos, it would need to be a phase 2 LET or similar (ie XE with gas)

Suppose it depends on what has what, ie. most Nova's with a LET seem to be stripped, so it may suffice with a standard LET (albeit they generally all have aftermarket FMIC's) whereas the Cossie isn't the lightest of cars to begin with, has more transmission losses, quite probably has heavy leather etc and only a fool would strip out an Escworth if it was 'only' 350BHP. Plus the replaceability/repair costs would lend itself to the cheap Nova being thrashed far more! lmao

Nah, once rolling it would need to be more than 200bhp IME if its a genuine 350bhp cossie, even if the nova was fairly well stripped out, at the end of the day power vs aerodynamics plays a part too.

Is a Cossie a particularly areodynamic car though? They area very slab fronted and I suspect don't lend themselves to a low co-efficient of drag. I have read that the spoiler is detrimental to top speed to the tune of about 4 MPH as standard? Not sure if thats true or just conjecture/hype?

Wayne, everything you have heard is true, the cossie isnt very aerodynamic (mind you nova isnt perfect either on this front of course!), and its also genuinely a lot heavier, just not enough of either or both to make up the difference between 204 and 350bhp IME

It was me... standard XE... either his cossie is ****ed or he cant drive.

was a simple drag from 40 to 120 ish, twice, allthough the 2nd time he seemed to back off early, whether through the shame or bemusement.

and its primer not filler :P
