I will be traveling up on Thursday night (10 July) leaving Plymouth at about 6pm so will be able to meet at Exeter at 7pm.
I would prefer to go straight up the M5, as follows :

A38
M5
M42
M6
M1 J16
A45

This gets us right outside Billing Auadrome, with service's etc if neded along the way, and will take about 3 - 4 hours on a good run also easier on the fuel bill too! i also find the drive easier and more relaxed than for example our long trip to Santa pod!

Im going A303 on the way up! At that time of the night it will be quiet and its around 40 miles shorter than the route above! I can do the trip from exeter in less than 1h 50m without caning it on the 303 route.

not defo if i am going up on thurs or fri early hours, but i shall be doing some a/b road bashing from glos straight across to the A43 then onto the A45 direct to billing. always use this route as is faster than motorways and more fun About 2-2 1/2 hrs i think it took me to get to the maccy d's just before pod
