Question Quick couple problems easy fix?

Hi all bought a corsa 1.4i 16v sport, lowered, rear disc conversion, window tints, full interior re trim, front bucket seats, sports exhaust, full combat body kit tax and test, had cambelt failure, so got it for £175!!!!lmaolmaolmaolmao

Any ways, sourced a tigra in OLYMPUS BREAKERS, and they kindly said 50 notes if ya remove it yourself.................................................................................. ....................1 hour later........................ i got it!!

In my hastiness of gettin it off i didnt take note of a couple hoses

    If any one could help:

    1) the small hose off the top of the expansion bottle its on the bottle end but where does it go?

    2) on the bottom of the throttle housing is 2 brass connectors to accept hoses? not sure if 1 of these is a water hose or if they both vacuum hoses?

The car runs but a little lumpy and wheezey, also if you give it a blip on the throttle the revs take ages to die down and idles at 1500rpm? please help proper stuck doing me head in?

the pipes on the top of the throttle body are water in and water out mate ... the top hose on the expantion bottle connects to 1 of them and the other 1 goes down behind the block to the main plastic F shape water pipe .... also about this idiling problem is 1 of a few things ... the engine has bin at at the breakers for a while. so whip out the ICV and give it a good clean . and also either clean or dissconect the EGR valve .. if you disconect the EML light will come on (dont panic) just get a garage with a good diagnostic setup to turn the EGR Valve program off on the ecu . it wont cause damage to the engine ... 1 last thing .. after that if its still a problam , recheck your vacume hoses as there could be a leak .... where abouts are you from in devon mate?

Unhappy Re: Quick couple problems easy fix?

Is there a certain way they go on? I.e the 1 to the top of the expansion bottle on top or bottom?

Reason i ask is got all the pipe on but when you start the car now it revs out to the limiter and have to turnoff with the key?

Just revs on its own................ throttle sensor?

    Bad earth?
