Quite thin on the ground to be honest, They tend to get broken before they hit the scrapyard. There is a 1990 calibra in a yard on hayling island with a very early 20xe, (coscast) the guy wants £200 for engine and all the running gear, (head is worth that!) and a corsa sport you could have the 22 spline shafts from in a yard called "noons" near salisbury. As for mounts etc, best bet is to buy new or make them yourself.

Also a mk2 astra 1.6 in "harry bucklands" cheltenham with good inner cv's, Perfect for conversion as it has an f16. Although i may take them off myself this week as "spares" for my nova. Hope this helps a bit.

well i have a corsa gsi already but i got the entire front end of a 99 vectra sri 140 for 80 notes which is a serious bargian in my eyes so im now collectin bits to get this engine in then i'll sell the shocks wheels radiator etc etc and what comes of my corsa aswell might have bagged some mounts and conversion hubs for 120 anyway so we'll see what happens. cheers for your help

Thanks for posting this! Used to live in Warminster so I can imagine you must be doing some serious driving around as everything is so spread out round there.

Don't suppose you know a breakers in the Gloucester/Cheltenham area that are friendly? I'm after some bits for my mk3 Astra:

    Drivers side wheel arch liner
    Electric mirrors (later shape)
3 wire fan plug with a few inches of wire
Headlight rubber cover (where loom plugs in)
    Battery holding bracket and bolt

    Cheers

I was in Jones on Monday, and was eyeing up the 944. But I didn't see the Calibra.

It came in tuesday last week. Its by the back gate where the new stock comes in. Still to be de-polluted. Its a bit of a mess mind. All the ally in the bay is badly corroded and it hasnt run in years. I bet you could get all the running gear for £150. Oh yea its white by the way

Ah new guy,,, Shaun, Big chap, Always wearing a high vis bomber. He's sound aslong as you know how to take him. Comes across as a right arrogant cu*t though most of the time. Best to have bit of banter with him then he loosens up a bit. He's just managing the yard, new owners are coming in next week and the yard will supposedly be getting filled with more insurance write offs. (as opposed to complete scrap)

Rayners ey? Funny you should say that as i rang them this morning looking to pay a visit. Guy seemed really sound. said he had a nova in and quoted "but its only a sh*t 5 door"

My only problem was the location, looks as though the quickest way there is a trip up to the m4 etc. what did you think of the yard? anything worth mentioning? much stock?
