Ignore Dunkerton Dismantlers, they seem to think their parts are made of gold. They bought most of the scrappage cars from the Bath and Bristol area, and now the yard doesn't get any new stock and they have to make do with what they have, hence the stupid prices, and their BS about being on a scrap price 'network'!

Also its not Richard Noon anymore, he sold up and a group of three blokes own the yard.

Ah yes, although i will probably still be calling it "noons" for many years yet. (they have a redtop nova at the moment with a disgusting bodykit)

And What you say about DD Spares is SO true. I went there yesterday and every part i wanted they priced by looking on EBAY. I said to the guy thats not how it should work and that i could quite easily go on ebay myself. Half the stuff i just put back in the cars

I needed a Electric PAS pump for a Pug 106, and they quoted me 70 quid. I said thats not a good price at all, and their BS reply was "we're on a network which links us to other breakers and thats the going rate."

I told them they were talking out their arses as no rival breaker is going to share price details with each other, and if this network was so great, why was the same pump available in Bristol for 45?

Spookily enough they agreed to match the price!

Theres a place in Poole called Charles Trent, and I recently went there to pickup a CAT B Mazda, and their prices are STANDARD on everything.

Want a MK3 Fiesta door complete with everything? 23+vat
Want a Focus 04 plate door complete with everything? 23+vat

Some of their prices are absolutely stonking.

I took a set of door mouldings off a mk2 GTi at DD Spares and they said.... Wait for it...... £80! All the guy did was search the buy it nows on ebay and quote me the same price. Needless to say i managed to get them for £25 after reasoning with them. Now ive got the doors off their mk2 astra i doubt i will ever go back there

Yea i agree, Trents is great. Want a ****e steering wheel off a nova? £8 + vat. Want a mint titanium vectra GSi steering wheel? £8 + vat. They have a couple of calibra v6's at moment and a silk violet nova luxe.

Trents get some good stuff, they've got a red Corrado at the front as well.

Got to go back there to pickup a couple of cars.

£136+VAT for engines as well is a bit of a winner, but theres no warranty on those at all
