Discsa are point less on a Nova/Corsa as they do nothing to the braking. Most of the time making it worse. Discs are only for show.

They have some benefit in that they do lessen the maintainance requirements as no leaky slave cylinder issues and they dont need adjustment to keep the clearance right, so that is an improvement even if not a performance one.

And they will only make braking worse if not correctly proportioned.

Fair enough...but it did look odd....I can understand on a Nova or a Corsa running a more closed wheel...so you never see the rear set up...but nick was runing tsw black ice rims and the drums IMO looked out of place....but as I said its a nic motor all the same....but it's just a bit common...IMO.
I think the way forward is to be unique...and moddify a understated model...when I was at PVS it just seemed to be all the same stuff....I like well thought out cars with character and a air of non conformity.
My last effort was a Vectra 2.5 V6 GSi, in star silver, irmscher grille, magnex exhaust..ect ect ect....if I went to a Vauxhall show and took the plates off it would get lost in the sea of star silver gsi's. So this te round I have gone for a euro styled Zafira gsi...it's a lower insurance group than the Astra hatch or coupe...but with the same output in power....it can double as a van and still carry seven adults even though it's two inches of the tarmac.

Anyway.....if TV wanna feature something other than an Astra or Corsa....they have my details...and I will pester them until the end of time.....and the odd bribe here an there..lol.

Personally I like things I cant take out on track and beat cars that cost a lot more money

I dont really see a car that doesnt handle well, or has tyres that arent the correct fitment for the rim so lose grip as a result as "well thought out" i just see it as "copying all the stupid VW owners"

Be a boring world if we all liked the same.

Maybe you should send your van into volksworld? lmao

Nah.....fast car have my details, Redline also have my details...as do Total Vauxhall.
I like the euro style and in no way am I trying to copy the VW scene.
As for the tyre fitment....went for the stretched look for style reasons....but I know many Motorsport teams be it drift, hillclimb, BTCC run all sorts of sizes...for clearance reasons and grip...bigger footprint more traction..smaller footprint...less traction..ie drifting...and if I had any doubt I'm sure my very good friend who owns Kent largest wheel and tyre centre would at least tell me there would be an issue.
But more to the point....I aint planning on doing track days....I will be upping the power for straight line purposes only...ie Santa pod..crail ect...and like many on here I would love to have my Zafira featured in TV or Fast Car ect as it would be a reward for my efforts.

In the end who cares... I was only showing an interest in the need for a rc in the South east area.
Wish I hadn't now lol...but as I said...if TV wanna feature a nice, well modified Zafira GSi then great...and once they clap eyes on my mate Richards Astra gsi rep estate...they will soon be spending more time in east Kent as we have some nice Vauxhalls down here.

Indeed, if this post is an interview for a RC then he should certainly get the job.

He has nearly managed to convince me I should be hounding my boss (editor of TV) to feature his dubbed up chavwagon cause he is so good at selling stuff, so Im sure he could convince a few people that they REALLY want to go to a meet at the local pub etc.

PLEASE move to the southwest and be our co-ord!

    Chavy....you git..lol.
Ok.....I used to be a salesman.....now Im just a lowly retail manager.
On a serious note....my Zafira is nice....and in no way chavy...no sticker bombs here...just subtle mods...in fact apart from the painted grille and de-badged tailgate the body is factory GSi. I have spent the money on the performance and stance side of things....its different and it will devide opinion...when I went to Amd I turned up on a bloody Fiesta zetec s r/r day...should have seen there faces...some loved it some hated it...but the haters turned into lovers once they saw an mpv make 280bhp on a second run.....allthough that was short lived when my inlet temps went through the roof...oopps.
Anyway....Benn ur nova is looking very nice.

OMG, I cannot believe the SW Region has gone so Quiet.
When i had my Cav Turbo, this area was Thriving, think quite a few members had the Cav turbo's back then too. But i Sold and went down the Subaru Route, and had my own Forum.
I have now colsed this and i now have a 1.6 Zafira, but i am seriously considering returning my subaru to Standard, and either Buying another Cavalier Turbo or a Zafira GSI Turbo.

If i do then i will come forward and bring the SW Area back to life.
Now come on the rest of u SW lot step up, as i see their are two positions.

Oh an dif u need any Admin / Mods let me know. I am more than Qualified to run VB forums.
    Many Thanks

Sorry Justin i didn't see your reply.

    You'll need to be...

You'll need to be a Mig club member.
You'll need to be active on the site.
You'll be wanted to set up meets (or attend already set up meets)
You'll be wanted to set up/help set up other events,
You'll be wanted to attend shows with the club,
You'll be wanted to help out at said shows and other events,
