As about I need to borrow a code reader that will work on a 1996, 2ltr vectra as mine will not start and for some reason the code reader I have will not work?

Yes it turned out to be the crank sensor but the engine was knackered when I got it started.
I just bought another vectra, I put some pic's up in the car talk section.
I'm going to break this one up and rebuild the old engine to keep as spares incase anything goes wrong with this one!
