| Names down... Who would genuinely attend a SW meet. I'll be the first to admit I've been slack at organising anything. My free time is precious & its been spent on perfecting my Grp-A rust bucket. She's nearly ready for the road & I am keen to start organising some stuff. Our good old summer time looks like its about to peak, so I will try & sort some meets.
Put your names down if you think you would come to a SW meet. Other near regions absolutely welcome.
I want to know what numbers to expect & support we can potentially expect.
My feelings are that whilst the Dakota events run in the summer, this would be an ideal event/venue aswell somewhat more exciting than sitting in pubs.

| Re: Names down... Who would genuinely attend a SW meet. Im up for any meet in the southwest, wouldnt want to travel further than bristol tho tbh, because then we arent even in the bloody sw lol.
Glad to see stuff getting organised, if we are short of numbers theres quite a few lads on mk3oc that meet up, we could include them!

Benn. Our region doesnt suit a fixed venue it seems, so I/we need to be flexible. IMO Bristol is too far North to tempt anyone from Devon & Cornwall in particular. However it seems logical to me that the M5 motorway is most peoples route up & down the 3 counties. So having meets near Exeter, Taunton, Cheddar has been done & mentioned. Having a joint meet with the S/Central boys would be good, we'd need to perhaps find some common ground in the middle like Blandford or Dorchester perhaps??
The Dakota events seem ideal though especially as its cheap enough to get in & is reasonably central in the region (M5 again).
End of June or July (pre Billing) would be the likely time for another meet IMO. People agree? |

| Re: Names down... Who would genuinely attend a SW meet. Is maybe a little soon to organise a meet at this date, but the next dakota event is 7th and 8th of June, theyre doing it sat and sun this time. Ive not yet decided which day im going but will definitely be one, maybe even both. You can pay £35 to run on the strip both days. |
