Bitch whinge moan etc (co-ords)

Come on lads, pull your fingers out!

why stand for co-ord if you dont want to actually do anything?

I think Pinky and Perky should either pull their socks up and get on with it, or just step down and allow someone who actually wants the job to do it instead!

No offence, I like Brett and Craig both very much indeed as mates, but they are clearly NOT any good at the SW job for whatever reason! So I think its time they get binned in flavour of someone else, ANYONE else in fact!

If you dont want to do it lads let someone else have a go?!

I vote for alistair olsen, who as he visits the SW about twice a year normally, is easily more qualified than the current Co-Ords

Be honest lads, do you have ANY interest in organising meets etc?

Seriously, if you want to do it then great, after all you are both well liked, you are both VERY into your vauxhalls and are both capable of representing MIG well in the SW im sure, but only if you actually WANT to do it?!

Heres how I see it................

I have plenty of motivation to arrange meets etc. However I'm 1str to admit that whilst I'm making the final push to complete my car, I've little time or resources to arrange any meets. I had arranged to meet with Brett one evening to throw some ideas around & finalise an arrangement for some dates etc. It didnt happen.

Neil I've never met you at a meet or had much to say to you online, I'll take that as a joke but otherwise perhaps you could get to know me before ridiculing me??

Chip you seem to be enjoying this moaning lark. It makes VS look better perhaps?

Either way I'm no use tbh until I get a running VX on the road.

Craig - it is indeed a joke. I know Brett very well and have enjoyed having a laugh with him over the years so I know he'd see my post for what it was. I'll refrain from any light-hearted banter with you until I've got to know you better, but to be fair, if you're the sort of bloke that gets all serious over a picture of Alan Sugar pointing and a 'You're Fired' quote I can't see us getting on too well anyway.

Besides, I couldn't really care less whether or not there's a meet weekly, monthly, annually or never. I rarely get the time to attend anyway.

My fault we didnt meet up as Im so busy at the moment with renovating a house Im moving into, parents emmigrating and so on. I havent even had a free evening to ring up and get the insurance refund Im due on the Cavalier that they havent paid me back for some reason

People have a right to moan there has been no meets and I didnt make that last one either. Im probably going to stand down as a result, coupled with the fact I dont plan on being at PVS as Im watchin test cricket that weekend and Im not on the MIG stand at Billing this year either (Im on the Mk2 Astra OC stand)

Since standing down as a mod, all the crap that comes with this site has totally de-motivated me from wanting to sort anything. Personally, I dont get anything from local meets like I used to.

WTF has it got to do with VS craig?

VS has NO meets, NO regions, and is in NO competition for SW meets with MIG, my ONLY motivation for trying to kick you both up the arse is to try and rekindle a bit of the old MIG SW scene!

Now all joking aside, either you two have the time and motivation between you, so organise a meet, or you dont so you should stand down and let someone else do it who DOES want to.

So Id be quite happy to arrange local meets, but m realistic that I wouldnt be able to give enough time for the main shows as I have other commitments with the mag for some and with the totb team for others, not to mention trying to do bits for VS as well. (hence ive never stood for co-ord as if you cant do it properly then you shouldnt get the job!)

Maybe if Brett really does want to step down me and Craig could do it between us, with me doing the silly little local stuff and him doing the big important shows which probably interest him more anyway?

I've got no qualms with being sole co-ord. As I posted above I feel a bit of a plank without vaux keys in my pocket tbh. The car is almost there now & can't wait to get out & show it off at club meets etc.

Chip my last remarks were merely to get at the fact that your endless poking at the lack of a meet seems to stem from another agenda perhaps....? 'My bad' if not, but it only takes a phone call or PM rather than three threads, to have a word about it. This is the first I've heard of Brett contemplating standing down. Its a shame but I doubt the region will suffer (no offence LOL)

I'll lend you a bloody vauxhall to go to the meet in, if you will only organise a meet when you are driving a vauxhall.

I'll even let you borrow my AA card so you get home as well.

Ive NO hidden agenda, I just like meeting up with fellow vauxhall owners for a natter, I went to a calibra meet recently and it reminded me thats all.

There really woudl be no point phoning you when there are already current threads where people are asking about a meet, so its not like its anything you arent WELL aware that we all want anyway surely, so what difference would a phone call make?

So I thought a touch of sniping humour might gee you up a bit into either doing it or giving someone else a chance, and TBH so far it seems to be working, lol

Sounds like a good plan to me, I will be there, AND in a vauxhall if I posisbly can

What time?

Personally Id quite like to head off to weston for the chavfest after, which would mean leaving the pub at about 7ish, so maybe meet at 4pm?

Brett, I can understand the MIG motivation being low after the pain of being a mod, but the meeting other vauxhall owners motivation should be high, you were certianly quite happy to chat away to me about your car and how you were getting on with it the other day, so im sure you would enjoy a meet.
