My opinion on location is that by default it should be arond exeter, like perhaps once every 2 months it should be there, but that it should also go up as far as bristol or down as far as plymouth occasionally too.

where to hold the meets has been an issue for this reigon since MIG started.

No ones going to be happy about where it is no matter where we hold it, Exeter has been a reasonably happy compromise for a few years now, but Taunton was before that. Its another half hour up the M5.

Theres the possibility we could alternate the venue, but then we risk losing participating with some of the other clubs, although that TBH wouldnt be a bad thing, just to have the MIG 'massive'lmao together on our own now and again?

Problem is, we hold it in Bristol, the cornwall Plymouth lot wont come, if its in Plymouth the birstol lot (me included) wont come. We had a christmas meal in 2002 in plymouth and there was a lot of opposition.

In the summer there are two obvious choices to go to fairly often IMHO, exmouth and weston super mare, on the basis they have regular car meets there anyway, last sunday in weston, first sunday in exmouth.

I know Weston normally happens in the evening Chip, is that the same in Exmouth? We did hold a meet on Exmoth sea front in 2005, Rob had his white GTE running at the time.

Again, I feel Weston could be to far North for some people, but we'll see what they say.

Does anyone have any objections to holding the Feb meet in Exeter again? Some clubs have already made arrangments for this venue it appears, and it gives us time to sort out other venues.

If not I'll get a thread up with details for exeter in the next few days.

I came to the torquay cruise/meet in 2005 which is about as far as bristol (bristol being motorway, torquay being bendy roads that i almost stacked the golf on) and I live 10 miles from bodmin lmao

Bristol would be no problem if i had a vehicle.
