Was a mint night in the end, shame you didnt make it down, best one for a while.

Although sadly cally managed to rag my cossie so hard on the way there that the wires on the lambda sensor melted, that has to be a first, LOL

Whoops! I was gonna ask you how the mapping went on the way home with your cool new "fashion accessory" lmao lmao

Was it the wideband sensor wires that suffered?

That's typical- I always miss the best night's when it comes to these things and when I do attend it's normally quite poor!! (in Cheltenham anyway)

I will definitely be coming down once my XE Corsa is sorted.

Harsh luck with the lambda wires- definitely the first I've heard of such an occurance! lmao
People say I'm dark and twisted, but I actually have the heart of a little boy... in a jar. On my desk

Seems ok again now ive insulated them, ive used some nitrous pipe, its fairly heat resistant, so im hopeing that will be the end of it.

See you soon lads, ANY bank holiday is always a big a one, just make sure you take my advice (rob didnt this week!) and arrive early or you wont get in the car park as it will be too rammed and the police will stop you!

Ive ordered some electronic ones, but im not sure i will like them, i really do like the "hose pipe and ear defenders" mechanical option as it REALLY lets you hear the engine, but will see how i get on with the electronic ones.

Might need a new sensor for the wideband but it seemed ok yesterday, got lots of mapping done

lmao Still can't get over those ear defenders and 20mm pipe sticking out of them lmao Should of taken a picture!

You never know the electrical ones may be tweeked to take out a lot of unessassary noise so you hear the knock etc clearer

How is the mapping going then? That is quality how you can sit there with a laptop and play with all the settings

Ive bought "neutral" electronic ones, they are NOT specifically for mapping, just for general engine/chassis/gearbox diagnosis, so fingers crossed they sound very similar.

Hard to match the mechanical ones though, they are ****ing awesome TBH, at 80mph you can hear the ICV during a gear change!!!!

Not bad considering you can make them for a fraction of the cost of the electronic ones.

    The mapping is going fine.

Ive not finished yet, but have got about halfway through on the fuel side and have a nice safe ignition map ive created.

Once ive finished the fuel side off, i will go back and visit the ignition map more thoroughly as thats where the last few BHP will be hiding
