    I agree with Trevor

    4 years? Not long enough.

Drugs kill people, kids get pulled into this circle of wanting and needing them. It just bad news.

You can't be selective in a situation like this. If someone unknown to you was dealing drugs then I am sure that you would be against it and hope that they get what they deserve. Just because in this case the person is a friend to some it makes no difference. No we don't know his circumstances but that really doesn't matter. It's not hard to know right from wrong.

Nobody is perfect but most people have the sense to draw the line and not cross it.

lmao @ everyones self ritious opinions - all experts all of a sudden.

Yes Matt did something wrong - but on the grand scheme of things, not a terrible thing at all. Having been a drug user, i can catagorically say, it was never pushed on me at all. So it isn't always a case of drugs being 'forced' on innocent victims.

Also how do we know Matt wasn't just 'delivering' to someone elses customers???

Everyone is making the assumption Matt was sat outside a school, catching the kids as they go home, but in reality, nobody know the circumstances.

This thread wasn't about labelling drug dealers with whatever tags you saw fit, it was about people who genuienly wish Matt well, having the opportunity to send on their best wishes.

Matt- Keep your head down buddy

I frown upon people who are to soon to assume, very stereotypical, you know how we all hate being tarnished criminals for going to fast etc so were all in the same boat in some way or another.

Now Matt had only been doing it for a VERY short period, he was caught in something above him really and thankfully stopped soon too.
Matt seen easy money and has learned his lesson.
At Matts sentancing the judge was very good in the fact he took time to study the enitre situation he was in, inc his huge debts, love life problems and his son and 18mth old daughter.
Matt had been sentanced for 20 months now he had allready served 3 months at the time of sentancing and we hope to see his return in May but on Tag.
The REAL drug dealers i agree should be sent away for a long time.

i understand what your saying but on the other hand

if i kill someone in a 30mph limit doing 40 should i be looked upon that much lighter than if i was traveling at 50

i hope matt has learned his leason but imo if he did not get caught he would prob still be doing it still now (as you said easy money etc so he would have no reason to stop)

but i do feel once you have done your time its time to be forgiven so good luck matt with your new start

really good news about matt. I know people who deal, what matt was doing was just a cog in the works. Putting him away will have done NOUTHING to reduce the drugs distribution work.

The dealers will just have found someone else to matts work for them.

I think people are entitled to post their opinions that they base on the information in this thread. The fact that the person in question is a friend to some does make it slightly more sensative however different people have different views.

The thing is if one of my mates got busted for doing something like this I would still be his mate, go to see him etc but I sure as bloody hell wouldn't try to defend him and paint him grey! Its a black and white situation, there is no middle ground!

Im sure Harold Shipman had friends, do you think his pals would sit in the pub and say "Yeah, he may have killed your gran/aunt etc but he was a nice guy once you got to know him!"

The sad thing is that, yes he may be a genuinely nice bloke but he will struggle like f*ck to get a job with a drugs offence on his record, let alone a decent job! His "indescretion" will affect the rest of his in a very major way!

*Im not posting that to cause an argument, it is just my oppinion!*

I agree, thats a bit OTT! People can reform and it aint like he bludgeoned Jamie Bulger to death is it!

I remember coming home from school at about 13/14 and some guy clearly on something stopped me and tried to get me to take a packet to a house around the corner in exchange for money, I just said "no" straight off but I know some of the people I used to hang around with at the time wouldn't have had the backbone to do so!
