    New Coordinators Req'd

Right guy and girls of the South Western Region

Sorry for the delay in doing this but since mike has resigned we have needed a replacement for him to work with Lee, in doing most of the organisation of the physical meets for the SW region. Lee is to retain his position to support and keep members active online.

I am looking for someone to replace Mike and to do this to reply to this thread.

    Thanks for reading

I will put my hand up unless you can find someone better.

Does this mean I have to do what ''Lord of the shed TM'' tells me too ?

Well first you need to reduce your sig to 3 lines

and no,i'm the "understudy" whoever takes over is the main co-ordinator.

coolamasta would be good fir the job, if you ask me having a co-ord in bristol would help us, Bristol must be the only major city in England which has less than 3 active MIG memberslmaolmao

Reason I dont want to do it is because Ive now started my accountancy course at college, which takes up 2 evenings a week plus homework - on top of a full time job. I dont have any spare time anymore!!!

Ditto, I feel a bit out of touch as I havent been to a meet for a couple years. I cant be relied upon to have a car on the road.

Not much use to anyone really! Though I would like to arrange local rolling road shootouts & a SW 1/4 mile day. That would kick *****.

it's hard enough trying to get admin talking to me as it is, i think i'd be on LOTS of ignore lists if i became co-ord, plus after certain things i've been told by people, i'd rather get raped by a rouge bull elephant - but good luck to whoever takes the mantle

rather than having 1 co-ordinator who's under alot of pressure.perhaps why not have 1,2 or 3 more moderator's and see who can make a difference?

whats the difference between a mod and a co-ord?

it may turn out better having more mod's than 1 co-ord you never no!

it would be nice to have something sorted, as i come in here at least 5 times a day to see if anyone has sorted a meet, action day or similar.

i live in the sw region and only met 3 maybe 4 members/users from here

How about a co-ord & a south mid & north rep (co-ord would be one of these) that way each counties membership attendance (if ya like) could be stronger than they have been & should be more active due to a closer relationship with the appointed rep.
The southwest is a large region & thats the reason why we struggle to get everyone together. Its a long trek on a Sunday lunchtime for someone from Bristol(eg) to go down to Exeter, likewise the other way round. With better motivation from more reps, with a bit of luck our region could be the biggest & best again.
