    Halfords....HaHaHa give me a break

Had a problem with Halfrauds, imagine u only have 2 weeks to prepare ur car for an MOT. the seats in my GTE were shot, and the drivers seat nearly completeley detached from the subframe (too many big macs) so i decided to go for a couple of cobra daytona's. On purchasing the seats i was told by the spotty faced 18yr old that the seats were to come with subframes specially made for the car and it would be a direct replacement. ok i thought this should be straight forward......of course not. the seats arrived 1 day before i was due to drive down to Regal. The seats were spot on , but instead of getting actual subframes which i paid 60 bucks each for, (yes 60 bucks for subframes) what i actually recieved were these 2 pathetic metal bars to attach to the original GTE subframes resulting in the seats sitting 3 inches higher than normal , and me being 6 foot 5 inches tall it didnt help matters. when i sat in the car i felt like i was in a transit van, my head was wedged between the roof and my shoulders and i couldnt get my knees under the steering wheel. as u can imagine my blood pressurer rose around 50%. (Big Macs) As best i could i removed the seats and "subframes" took them back to the spotty greasy 18yr old who then tried to tell me i couldnt have my money back because they were the right "subframes and seats" for my car, he was clueless. Then he tried telling me they could be the wrong adaptors, when i showed him the stickers saying "Mk2 astra" he started blabbering on about mine having a sunroof which was completely irrellevant My blood pressure rose again another 25% I spoke to the store manager and within 10 minutes i had a full refund. i just about managed to get some recaros back in there before the MOT. moral of the story is.... dont buy anything from Halfords, the staff are clueless and try to fob you off any way they can. all the products are tacky and as for the ripspeed range......ppppllllleeeeaaaase ..... I hope many of you will understand the ****e i had to put up with that day halfords will definately be at the root of my pisstaking for the next few months. They were the only place that could offer me a finance deal on the seats that is purely the only reason i went there

    Like its stolen
I spoke to the store manager and within 10 minutes i had a full refund.
Sounds like fantastic customer care to me, ALL companies make mistakes, what seperates the good companies from the bad is how they deal with them IMHO.

When i was there the main problem we had was down to suppliers quoting delivery times that they didnt stick to.I do see where you are coming from though. We had alot of young lads who worked there who just werent intrested in dealing with problems and helping customers. With the subframes we were told if it the car was a three door with tilting subframes the only thing they could supply us with were these crappy adaptor bars. They deemed their own tilting frames unsafe so the other option was a fixed frame which most people didnt want.We gave our best opinion and explained what they would be getting,we were not on comission so i found myself(most of the time)suggesting where to get better products to suit their needs. At the point that i was made redudant it felt like we had become more like a 'motorworld' than a halve decent tuning/audio shop.
