Idea for the next SW meet-

i Know we all get pictures of all the cars at the meets etc- but what about nextime- actually putting a bit of thought into it and getting some 'proper' shots of all the cars in the region (or those that turn up anyway) Kinda like a school photo but with cars

Just think as we've got a nice bunch of cars down here, why not put a bit of time into it and get some nice photos etc.

Obviously we'd need to have a real push and try and get more members to turn up also but i think it's be worth it.

    Opinions people?!?!

yeah- some not too far away- or the only place i can think of in exeter is the DOuble Locks Pub- i love it there, but it's an 'aquired' taste.

Got topsham, sidmouth, starcross all close by- possibly wiseco will know a few better places.

    Sounds good to me to.

Pity about the timing as i couldve got a 2 million pound mansion and lake setting as a backdrop where some playboy films have been made but "Sir" has just had the builders start work and its pretty well going on all through summer. (anyone see the F 'ing Fulfords on tv? well its his residence.)
Depends on backdrops and timings etc as most places like double locks are pub car parks etc and it'll be hard to get all the cars together without "foreigner vehicles" being in the shot.
Baring that in mind im thinking....
    a) A carpark up on the moors suitable somewhere between tavistock-sourton/okehampton for a moorland backdrop
    b) A carpark up on Woodbury Common of similar nature and setting
    c) Possibly the carpark at Exmouth by the estuary behind the bus station for an estuary backdrop
    d) A carpark up on haldon for a tree backdrop but thinking unless its a very good day pics maybe dark?
e)If all else fails i can use a field of the old mans but it may not be the best backdrop but atleast we would be undisturbed by anyone and could set the cars up whichever way we wanted etc (obviously being a field it would be slightly dependant on the grounds condition if it had been raining)
    f)i'll keep thinking lol

I'lll pop along if you do, but im not really into the whole window-licking thing, id sooner see a car hanging the arse out and splattered with mud etc than all polished up and poofy looking.
But good excuse for a drink afterwards which is the main thing

Already thought about that mate but they are having a major crackdown on motoring down there.
They have installed CCTV and have constant patrols there. They are dishing out fines for wheel spinning, loud music etc.
It only takes of few instances and it may put a downer on the day.Guess what im trying to say whilst in "collective form" a group of miggers could not withstand being law abiding citizens the temptation would be to much for most lmao

What about seeing if any of the other regions (south central are closest i suppose) want to come along- get the number up and that-

But then we'd also be looking at 'possibly' moving the meet to maybe taunton or something so it's a bit closer- obviously depending on how many wanted to attend?

    what do you reckon

When is this likely to take place? I'm new here and would like to meet some of you lot, but calendar is pretty full ATM I'm between Bath and Salisbury (5 mins from Longleat) so the nearer that way the better

We usually meet at Exeter on the last sunday of the month- if you're up near longleat (near warminster iirc) then possibly the South Central meets might be a bit closer, i don't know where they actuall meet TBH but worth seeing.

If you are closer to use then it would probably be for Next months meet i reckon to give us a bit of time to sort numbers and locations (want lots of people/cars).

    kepp checking this post.
