i dont mean to offend but
GTE's are a true design classic with aerodynamics, engine development to ridicule this driving a 'corsa' is shocking

Love the GTE, always wanted one and have spent alot on this one. Thats why l've got the Calibra, its my winter runner to keep the GTE away from salt. The V6 is very different to drive against an XE in standard form - very lazy power and stupidly wide ratio'd gearbox whereas the XE is very revvy and instant. Both go pretty well really just in different ways, the V6 is all about long legs and top end but l've been out in a mates V6 Cav on an F20 with the flat F20 flywheel and thats the best of both put together even if it does lose some top end - Chris

Didnt think the v6 would be lazy, lol. THought they are more torqy, i know they only have what 20 bhp more than a redtop? my car isnt exactly standard, i have know idea how much i got under the hood, but yeh i like the sound of a v6 but doesnt seem any point getting one, calibra turbo yeh id love to see what they can do. Saying that id like to see what it could do with a f28, whats the top speed on a v6 then? ive got 140 out of mine, i got a f16, its jonny As previous car, upparently the ratios are the same as a f20, what he says.

is the Astra fast then? gte's dont look bad, but prefer a calibra myself, after this i could chnage from a proper sports coupe.

I don't think the F16\F20 ratios are the same, i blew my F16 and put an F20 in my Nova LET and the gearing is much longer in the F20. the F16 used to scream at 80mph on the motorway and now its quietier.
Will it ever leave the garage!!!!!!!

Seems a perfectly logical way to do things to me TBH

Im of the opinion if you are going to spec a calibra turbo (that you know nothing about) based on what you think the engine bits should look like, not on what they do, then you have little if anything at all to bring to such discussions, maybe you should just try reading for a while and you might learn some stuff?
