| anyone got a trailer/flatbed? hiya guys n gals just wondered if anyone would help me im in tunbridge wells and i need a van collecting from maidstone the clutch has gone on it and its got no tax or mot! is there anyone available to offer their services to bring the van to my house so i can use it to fix my astra? would be willing to pay if someone was too kind to help OR reccomend me a trailer person or even a recovery lorry! as i need the astra sold ASAP so i can start doing work on my vectra thanks in advance

| I Know two people down my way (Haywards Heath near Gatwick) who have recovery lorries but they will want sensible money for doing it I'm afraid. This will likely be fuel costs - which will be a fair amount, and say half a day of their time. It isn't going to be cheap. I would say possibly £200.....

| 20 quid near me to hire a trailer for the day, thats no use to you as its a couple of hundred miles away, but it shows its the cheaper option if you find one local to you for similar money. |

| the local hire firm wants a 500 deposit but he is my best mates ex hubby so that might be why ya know the stick us scousers get specially with these southerners they probably think we aint gonna return it!!!!
cheers for your help guys will have a call round a few recovery peeps see if i can sort summit out thatway

| As chip said - vastly cheaper that way if you know someone with a tow hitch (with electrics too remember!).
Make sure you have some straps too etc as getting done for an insecure load will cost... |

| blimey, its 50 quid deposit for my trailer hire (the trailer I had at Billing and PV) and it comes with a couple of straps as well (although I tend to use my own too just in case) |

| anything must be cheaper than 500 as the van only cost me 75 quid i have a friend down the road who has a big land rover im sure he would help me if i gave him a few pennies for petrol and ive emailed my local trailer merchant asking the prices for trailers etc so hope he emails soon im a total noob at this car lark so scuse me for being noobish

| I believe you ca write out a cheque of £500, give them that as a deposit and they dont cash it but except it as the deposit.

| well just been quoted another trailor for 200 deposit but it has to be paid on a card not a cheque plus £42+vat daily rate

| result!!!!!!! local hire company i found its 35 +vat daily rate and £75 deposit  so pleased just need the man with a 4x4 now to say yes and were off !!!!!!steven hope you got ya spanner ready

| makes a change for me i tell ya !!!! this astra has caused me some serious headache i swear if you have a fuel pump that goes on a 1.7TD SCRAP IT QUICKLY!!! coz its just a pain in the bottom! but hopefully it should be fixed soon i hope it is or im gonna go grey !!
