I Know two people down my way (Haywards Heath near Gatwick) who have recovery lorries but they will want sensible money for doing it I'm afraid. This will likely be fuel costs - which will be a fair amount, and say half a day of their time. It isn't going to be cheap. I would say possibly £200.....

PM me your number if you would like me to ask them.

20 quid near me to hire a trailer for the day, thats no use to you as its a couple of hundred miles away, but it shows its the cheaper option if you find one local to you for similar money.

As chip said - vastly cheaper that way if you know someone with a tow hitch (with electrics too remember!).
Make sure you have some straps too etc as getting done for an insecure load will cost...

blimey, its 50 quid deposit for my trailer hire (the trailer I had at Billing and PV) and it comes with a couple of straps as well (although I tend to use my own too just in case)

I believe you ca write out a cheque of £500, give them that as a deposit and they dont cash it but except it as the deposit.
