from the SE register thread. a topical discusion.

the question has to be asked, is it that some of the meets are too far away for some user's to attend? i spoke to drizz about this, he has a lil plan for moving around the region and he says its a good thing and gets a good number turn up. what are your thoughts on this? if you can find a location which is good for the region and does food and has a good size car park, would you consider attending meets more often?

i ask this as i'm sure we as a region can be better in numbers and then with a view to actualy doing days out. as there are only a few people activly attending meets i wont put out to organise stuff as its not worth it for 2-3 people. i'm sorry that i feel this way and its these members that spend money and dip out. its 'your' region, its 'your' money, if you want to do something, go somewhere or just do a fun run around and burn up a tank of fuel in the summer. i'll be more than happy to organise something for you, i'm sure rob will too.

    discus.....

this is the thing this one works for some people but it may not with others. there are quite a few people in the region... half of which i have never met! i'm looking to change that.

    Thumbs up

now i didnt speak to rob re this (and he will back me up on this), its a well known fact that i asked this b4 in the se region but was told it was ok as was. i am perfectly happy to move dates around to various points in the region where we can all take part. as long as.....
    1. there is a carvery at the venue
    2. a big enough car park
    3. a few new faces

if we can get new people on board then that will be a great place to bump start this region into life again.

now all we need is a good list. i know there is a great place for food on the way to maidstone just off blue bell hill (forget the name). this is a defo good place for some tukka and is on the list.

anyone have anyother places feel free to plug them.

There's a nice pub in High Beach called "The Owl" - food's quite good and they've got a reasonable car park (not as big as the Grasshopper though).

Otherwise there's the Halfway House on the A127 (at the junction with the A128) - apparently it also doubles up as a dogging site, but I shouldn't think it'll be too rife at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon lmao (Gav, you can always hang around til night-time though )

Of course a quick road-trip to check out some other places could always be a plan - if the weather's good I could quite fancy a quick tour of the region
