r/r day at rpm...who is interested?

need to get an idea of numbers attending (very near to blue water for those not knowing where the venue is)

going to be having a toot over there 2mora to find out how many 'power runs' they can do in a day and an idea of cost for those going. i will divide the max number of cars between us (vaux's) and the veedubs. i am going to try and contact total vauxhall and see if they are interested on a feature for a r/r shootout, so we are gona need some big boys by all accounts... the v- dub's have an ace by all accounts so we're gona need somit special in return, savage no longer has the astra so i guess we're pretty stuck.

if the numbers come up short i will be asking eastern or south central members in an attempt to make up the numbers. going to be around end of feb time.

so...any taker's????

yes it is mate i think it was 03 when we went there (i still had the omega iirc), and it will be held toward the end of feb if it helps.

still in talks with the vee dub club via a good friend of mine. there is another way in to it so low riders can still get in without any probs.

but by all accounts u need to be running 200 bhp minimum to keep up with some of the oposition!!!

I have 145 bhp but have a SBD manifold to go on, so i will have around 146-147.5 Not enough??? Won't have the other engine in by then!

ok slight problems!

1. rpm say their rollers can only read 'up to' 260 bhp.
2. they are restricted from using the rollers because of the noise... the 'dragster builders' next door say its too loud

solution!

there is a r/r just across the water in the thurock area that can cope with 800bhp jim the guy i spoke said it will be easy to hook up

and 25 odd cars should not be a problem, i think we could sort 15 from either side, if we can then its looking good

i'm sure rpm's rollers only read KW also. which makes for a few variables depending on the decimal points used to convert to bhp and coast down!

i think t.f.s will have more gen on the dartford r/r, he is known there.

the rollers use BHP and torque printouts, you just let the car wind down after the run and that calculates losses through the transmission for you, BHP readings are at the fly
