looking ahead to the new year!

spoke to a mate of mine who has turned to the dark dark side of motoring... vw

well i spoke to him tonight with a view to doing a shootout on the rollers in northfleet (kent near blue water) he seemed pretty confident that he could rustle up a few cars for the day. now i know some of these ve dubs can be very well tuned... but so can ours too, so looking to sort somit for around april/may time. if i can get enough people together and a similar number of vw's....would like to know who would be interested in doing it. may even contact t/v if its gona be a mega bash as its not quite in season of shows!
i will go and chat to them in my own time to see what the cost is likley to be for a power run only.

will also try to get involved with out neighbours meets, the eastern and south central regions to get to know some of the other users for the pv, billing shows so there are fewer strangers for the newer members that are now joining up.

i am open to ideas from others, these are just a few so far. i may even try out a coastal run, either haystings, brighton, or margate.... maybe all of them for a bit more fun.

    ideas are starting people.

you mean RPM then that was a good event in 2003 for the SE.

bucket and spade rally could be fun. nice summer cruise, like a mobile SE meeting

Attendance isn't guaranteed, but as long as time/money/running car is available I'll always do me best

I think I have a RR day around that time with Cavweb so may not be up for that particularly... but if the Cavweb one falls through, could be a grin

well thats what i was thinking, out for a cough ahem sensible drive in the sun.... a nice ice cream at the end of it and a shandy.

if it all goes a bit dry may well move the r/r day to february, then the coastal run for april/may time.

    feed back chaps please.

we could maybe find a local event to host some mig meets at too. for instance the central guys go to banger racing at standlake arena, i'm sure you remember.

i'mnot to up on the more urban forms of motor racing in kent area, apart from arena essex, but we have lydden hill and brands slap dab in the middle of our region. both hold great spectator stuff like stock/hot hatch and british rallycross.

i also have a mate in the service in a saloon car race (champion this year) so may be able to blag somit in the near future to watch them (he just had his sponsership increased) and in a mk2 astra he is also doing rides out around brands in his car (instructor) for £10 a go.... may be able to sort a day out for those interested on the indy circuit.

I'll be up for a cruise somewhere. I go to bangers at Wimbledon & Ringwood and it's a laugh although there's sod all parking space in Wimbledon! I'll be up for Brands as well as a RR even though my motors standard I'm curious to what it actually produces.
