Started the car for the first time since the snow started today...all OK. Just going out to wash it now.

IIRC we moved it to Rownhams to be more central to the region and to be nearer to you Tom.
The pub is about 75 round trip but due to the location of the pub I could combine it with a stop at my parents for things like post and stuff, hence to me it was a better location and killed 2 birds with one stone.
For this month it wasn't going to work for me, too much to do.
Out of interest what are drinks prices like at the services?

Place called the Horns Inn just off M271 not far from there. Got big-ish car park, however not been there in decade or so things may have changed there.
