Last track day of the year at Castle Combe on Friday October 10th.

I'll be there (as usual), but regrettably not in the White Astra - this time I'll be using
THE DIESEL

Not as fast on the corners but mighty quick (and belching black smoke

) on acceleration.

Anyone else going?

Would be good to see some faces again.

I'm all booked and paid for but it's starting to look unlikely that the car will be ready - I may end up doing it with no boost if it comes to it.

Cheers, and sure did.

Had a great day in the diesel (make smoke, number one!!) throwing it around - tyres are massive and it slides around very nicely. Only down side is masses of torque that just sets the wheels spinning away as you accelerate out of corners, even with the sport button off.

Still, the weather was good, plenty of cars on track to have fun with. Only spoilt by a few stopped sessions due to muppets running out of talent!!

Roll on 2009 when the Mk3 will return, lighter, more powerful. and definitely faster still !!
