I'll try and be at the next meet - not been able to make the last few. Good to hear you want to learn about the car and want to mod things yourself. I look forward to meeting you.

Re: NEWBIE! (ish)

hi, first off buy a haynes manual, second buy a half decent toolkit, third give it a go, sensible mods are normally as easy as a routine repair.
eg to fit a high lift a cam is 2 more bolts than a headgasket change.
good luck

Re: NEWBIE! (ish)

Hey hun, I'm new too. Can't wait to pick the car up though. Does anyone tend to go out on any random drives or just little meets instead of the normal monthly ones as above?
I may know a few of you through Skuzzle but that was about 3 years ago lol x

Re: NEWBIE! (ish)

it takes half hour coz my alloys arent balanced and the wheel wobble is mental at 60mph, plus my non turbo diesel is soooo slow. must get the corsa finished, gonna work on it again tonight.

anyone up for a rolling road shoot out??? there are a few round here, split the men from the boys, and women from the girls of course.

Re: NEWBIE! (ish)

benn try a search for "tom airey motorsport" near petersfield, a mate gets his rally cars done there, escort mk2's, x flow on carbs and redtop on TB's, the ad seams good and helpfull.

might be worth inviteing total vauxhall mag, im hoping to just get on the under 1800 chart, just.
