Renault Kangoo C20XE On bike carbs (yes you read that correct, no its not finished yet)
timing belt snapped so lapped 16 new valves and seals in all new gaskets. now misfires on 3 & 4 tried changing injectors round plugged opcom in again but still misfires on 3 and 4
i'd say your valve guides are nackered, if you seated new ones in and the plug is firing and you have fuel it can only be valves. As you say you have eliminated the injectors, make sure the cylinders have a spark then compression test it, Guarantee your readings will be low on 3 and 4, what does it start up like? take a few turns and slowly starts and gets going or fires up first turn and then misfires? Did you turn crankshaft over once belt was fitted before firing? you probably did but I have to ask lol

yeah turned crank by hand a few times just to be sure. yeah takes a while to get going.engine rocks about pretty bad once running too
I would say valves are either bent, not seating properly as its taking ages to start, the compressions isn't there until a few revolutions before it can fire, rocking will be because of the misfire. I have heard of valve guides cracking after belts snapped and caused interference.

don't know any garages in dundee, try engine resource they checked my sri head out for free when i snapped a belt. 16 bent vaulves and 16 fukked guides, but i took head off
These days you'll struggle to find anybody will to take on such a job for a reasonable price. The minute you say you've had it in pieces, it's the classic "how long's a piece of string" scenario. It could be something totally unrelated or something you've done or something you've missed. If you can't afford to have a garage strip it all back down again to diagnose it, then don't bother taking it. Or what'll happen is it'll end up in bits and you'll be faced with a bill for 6hrs diagnosis.
I'd eliminate the obvious first 9electrical misfire, lack of compression, injectors etc) then consider removing the head again to recheck your work.

or scrapyard for another head
cheers for the help guys.
think it time for a strip down again, i only had 8 bent valves but i replaced them all as the other 8 weren't seating properly . the bent valves were on 3&4 so you could well be onto the something with the guides. ill contact engine resource or agri-engineering to check it over for damage
If you can do the lions share of the work then it'd save you soem costs chap. To simply hand it in to a garage could result in big bills so best try and do as much as you can yourself and if need be, get a specialist to do the stuff you can't then build it all back up yourself. Hourly labour rates quickly add up!

same as me, owned sri for 9 years its part of the family lol.
