The diary is empty for May... give us your suggestions!

With Crail over and done with and PVS being the next major event to happen (Sunday 10th June) it seems there's nothing much happening in May. So on that basis, any requests or suggestions as to what we can do?

    We could...

Go for another random drive somewhere - the Trossachs or the Borders again?

Have a dyno day - SOS Motorsport in Falkirk? Dastek in Dalgety Bay?

Hang up the car keys and have a night on the town, few beers, get Scotty a fat bird?

Do a couple of local events - anybody know of any decent local shows we could do?

    Fire away with your thoughts/suggestions.

Think another run would be great maybe northeast? Grantown on spey/ elgin direction for something a bit different. maybe make it an overnighter find a cheap hotel or just tent it?

    Or...

We do a Saturday run up to that area, stay Saturday night and do a rolling road at Wallace Performance in Aberdeen on the Sunday... or vice versa.

Though not had any dealings with Wallace since Gav and Russ left, what sort of reputation do they have these days?

Sounds a plan to me Dave

I know Matty from Wallace and he is sound enough RR'd my Astra not long ago and charged me well under what he should of! I was gonna rebook again in may to have injectors changed and dyno'd again.

How do you fancy giving him a ring, check what days/dates are available towards the end of the month and what sort of cash is involved and what the maximum and minimum numbers are? Usually it's £25 to £30 per car depending on how many are running, so somewhere around that figure would be about right I reckon.

I'll ring SOS and Dastek shortly, see how they're fixed... though Russ Paton works out of Dastek (HQ Performance) and he's one of the best dyno opperators around I reckon.

Let's do some research, see when/how much and than take it from there.

Just a heads up Dave, the last time we were at Dastek they were only giving wheel figures. There were a few groans last time because of this.

Rr day gets my vote, corsa doesn't seem as quick as it used to be so would be good to see what it's putting out.

Cruise Irvine is on the 27th of may at Irvine beach, lots of chavved up corsas and what not, right up my street. There's already over a thousand people going so surely there's a car there for everyones taste

Ahhh, good point. I'll ring them and ask if they can do wheel figures yet. From memory it was some issue with their software the last time?

Re: The diary is empty for May... give us your suggestions!

    Right, been doing some phoning...

Dastek / HQ Performance - Dalgety Bay, Fife
Saturday 26th May or 2nd of June available
    Maximum of 30 cars
£40 per run up to 20 cars
    £35 per run 21 to 30 cars
Russ Paton is the dyno opperator however the only give wheel figures and then calculate the flywheel from there.

    SOS Motorsport - Falkirk
Saturdays, pretty much anything towards the end of May / start of June available.
Maximum of 30 cars though 25 is ideal
£30 per run regardless of numbers
They can give flywheel and wheels figures

My personal feeling is that we go with SOS Motorsport as they are centrally based, cheaper and can provide flywheel figures. Dastek/HQ are good but the lack of flywheel figures put people off the last time and as good as Wallace are, I can't but help feel we'll get a better turn out if it's based in the central belt as getting 30 cars to Aberdeen is a bit of an ask.

I'm going to start a new thread on this too...

Already provisionally booked SOS buddy, though I forgot about Sitech.

No harm in aking though, if it's some super fantastic deal / package then nothing to stop us moving location.

Let me know what he says, failing that I'll give them a ring later.

    Cheers

Is it just a generic map depending on what mods you have? I'm new to the Z20LET tuning, hence the (probably daft) questions.
